On the sixth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me: A bottle of Bunnahabhain

This Christmas we’re asking you to help us select the Cask 88 ‘Scottish Distillery of the Year’, as part of our ‘The 12 Drams of Christmas’ campaign. Bunnahabhain distillery is one of our 12 chosen distilleries, find out more about the campaign and how to vote for your favourites. Click Here.

Why do we love Bunnahabhain?

Bunnahabhain production started in 1883, in one of the remotest distilleries on the island of Islay, when the availability of pure water and the accessibility by sea were essential criteria. But, in a short space of time, a community started to grow around the distillery and continues to grow to this day. Considered by many as Islay’s lightest whisky in terms of peat, is commonly considered due to its water being drawn from below ground before it has passed through layers of peat.

We have a selection of Bunnahabhain expressions in our online store, a great example being the Bunnahabhain 37-Year-Old, 1966
