Are you game? Can you crack The Glenlivet Code, the ultimate whisky mystery?

The Glenlivet Code will push the boundaries of your flavour exploration

The Glenlivet Code is a mysterious Single Malt Scotch whisky, which is being released without cask information or tasting notes, to take whisky connoisseurs on a journey of discovery, whilst putting their Single Malt knowledge to the test.

The inspiration behind this limited edition release was the iconic British Codebreakers, The Glenlivet Code maintains its exceptionally high-quality standards and presents its smooth and fruit house style along with additional twists. An innovative interactive digital experience accompanies the launch, designed to test the knowledge and appreciation of single malt whisky that the consumer has.

How does it work?

You enter the digital world by scanning a code on the back of The Glenlivet Code using the Shazam app to enter a virtual underground room. You will then be greeted by a hologram of The Glenlivet’s Master Distiller, Alan Winchester, who will challenge you to decode the taste of the liquid. Only by selecting four aromas for the nose and four flavours for the palate, from thousands of possible combinations, can you unlock your score which you are encouraged to share on social media using the hashtag #TheGlenlivetCode. The official tasting notes won’t be revealed until the end of the year to give Single Malt enthusiasts the time to discover and enjoy the liquid themselves.

The Glenlivet Code will launch globally from March 2018 across 28 markets with an RRP of $120 USD. Here at Cask 88 we offer a concierge service that allows customers to seek out particular expressions and releases that will complete their collection.
