Commemorating An Historic Event
The COP26 Global Summit is bringing together global leaders, communicators, economists and scientists to plot the course for humanity to find a way to avert a looming climate catastrophe. It will not be an easy task – we have only just come to the point where there is a mainstream consensus that climate change is real, global, and potentially existential if not mitigated.
The hardest challenge is to find a way to reduce environmental damage without reducing the quality of life for billions of people in developed economies, or flatly denying the opportunity to progress in developing ones. And so the world will be watching COP 26 with their hearts in their mouths.

A Tree Planted For Every Bottle Sold
This bottle of Caol Ila was created by Cask 88 to mark the 2021 Cop26 climate conference in Glasgow. Cask 88 are working with Trees4Scotland to ensure that oak trees, so intimately acquainted with Scotch whisky, return to healthy broadleaf forests in Scotland. We will plant a tree for every bottle of this whisky that is sold.
Caol Ila is a whisky defined by its peatiness – an aroma derived from burning carbon. A reminder that we’re in a delicate balancing act, trying to change our world for the better while not losing things we love along the way.
